Urquhart Castle

Stone Point is the site of Urquhart Castle, which was once one of Scotland's biggest castles but has now been a ruin for over 200 years. The position of the castle is dramatic and a wide view of Loch Ness can be seen clearly from there.

Built in the 14th century in an ideal site for defence.

Robert the Bruce took over the castle in 1306 when he became King of Scotland.

There are said to be two hidden vaults in the castle - one containing treasure; the other the plague kept magically in a bottle until it is needed again.
