NewtonmoreNewtonmore is a town in the Badenoch area of the eastern Highlands; the name of the town is derived from the Gaelic Baile Ur an-Sleibh, the new town of the moor. In the Clan MacPherson Museum is the famed Feadun Dhu, black chanter; this is said to have fallen from heaven and when played in battle it assures the clan of victory. Other items in the museum is the Green Banner, which bears the clan motto Touch Not the Cat Bot a Glove. |
