Nevis Range

The Nevis Range is a group of mountains in the Lochaber region of the Highlands that includes four Munros - Ben Nevis (1344m); Aonach Beag (1234m); Aonach Mor (1221m) and Carn Mor Dearg (1220m).

North east of Fort William, following the A82, a small road leads off to the cable cars (gondolas) that climb about half way up Aonach Mor, Scotland's 8th highest mountain. The gondola trip takes about fifteen minutes to cover the one and a half mile journey with a climb of about 2000 ft.

The views from the restaurant terrace are spectacular and on a clear day it is possible to see as far as Eigg and Rum as well as a number of lochs in the vicinity - Linnhe; Eil and Lochy. A panoramic photograph on the terrace highlights the views and walks on the mountain offer further views.
