DrumnadrochitDrumnadrochit lies at the end of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness and is the centre of the Loch Ness Monster industry in Scotland. You cannot visit Loch Ness and not wonder about the existence or otherwise of the famous Loch Ness Monster – Nessie! In Drumnadrochit there are not one, but two exhibitions about the Loch Ness Monster, the Original and the Official. The presentation started off well by detailing the history of Nessie, from the time of St. Columba to the more recent sightings. However, as it went through the evidence, we felt the tendency was to find a rational explanation for everything. Without Nessie the loch would still exist, but would anyone then take time to stop at Drumnadrochit? |
