Culloden

About 8km/5 miles east of Inverness is the battlefield of Culloden Moor, which is also known as Drummossie Muir. This was the site of the last battle that took place on British soil, with the Jacobite army of Bonnie Prince Charlie being defeated by the Royalist army of the Duke of Cumberland.

At various points around the actual battle field there are memorials, known as the Culloden Memorials, a number of which are classed as Ancient Monuments. These are marked in the list below with an *:
