Arisaig

Arisaig is the name of the peninsula in the south-west corner of the Morar area; it is also the name of a village in the area that is situated at the head of Loch nan Ceall, to the south of Mallaig and Morar. It is reached by the Road to the Isles, the A830 that runs from Fort William to Mallaig, as well as the railway that follows the same route.

To the south is the Sound of Arisaig which separates the Arisaig and Moidart peninsulas. Loch nan Uamh and Loch Ailort open up into the sound on either side of the Ardnish peninsula.
