Galashiels

The A7 from Edinburgh crosses the Moorfoot Hills into the Borders and, following the route of the Gala Water, leads to Galashiels, where the Gala Water joins the River Tweed.

From Galashiels the A7 heads roughly south to Hawick, passing through Selkirk along the way. From Hawick the A7 continues southwest, passing through Teviothead and on to Dumfries & Galloway.
