Dryburgh Abbey
Dryburgh
Abbey stands to the south of Dryburgh, situated
within a loop of the River Tweed, in the Scottish Borders.
The abbey was founded c.1152 for the monks of Alnwick in
Northumbria. The ruins date mainly from the 12th and 13th
centuries.
The abbey is the burial place of Sir Walter Scott and Earl Haig.
