Is not Bridge Street Station :shake: or the reconstructed bridge street or the 'new' bridge street just up the road.

http://www.scotcities.com/railways/bridgest.htm has some wonderful photographs of the original Doric portico fronting the Booking Offices, quite amazing, shame that it's long gone...

Thanks for the link matt, it was interesting reading about the old railways:D my dad and two uncles used to work in the railways back in the 50s and I am struggling to find a similar photo to the phone you have. Is this from your own family collection?

I will keep on looking :P

Linda, I work as an engineer for Network Rail and over time have amassed quite a few interesting and plenty non-intresting railway related historical photographs.

Lots came from British Rail’s own photography department. Shockingly most were going to be thrown out but salvaged all I could, stashed them under my desk where they remain to this day.

I will admit that your clue did help... but I had looked at that station a couple of times already!
