It doesn't appear to have snowed much (if at all) overnight... as a result there's no
snowmobile photo today as it looks no different to yesterday! Having said that, its snowing (lightly) just now!

This amazing satellite picture on Thursday shows most of Scotland covered in a blanket of snow, which measures up to around 60cms around parts of the east. It is also clear to see which areas have avoided the worst of the snow - such as Mull, Islay, Kintyre Peninsula, parts of South Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.
From the satellite image you can also see clouds over the east, which have been producing snow showers over the last few days in these areas. At the top left of the picture there is a band of cloud approaching during Friday - this will produce a mix of rain and sleet over Western Isles - while bringing more snow.
