These photos have already been posted elsewhere, but here they are again... the snowmobile in all its developing glory:

1st December

Under all that snow somewhere is our car and sometimes I wonder when we'll see it again... if ever!

A small slip of snow at the front at least reveals the make of car, but what isn't obvious is how much more snow has been added... all I know for sure is there's been about 2-3 inches fallen overnight and its still snowing with more to come throughout the day!

It doesn't appear to have snowed much (if at all) overnight... as a result there's no snowmobile photo today as it looks no different to yesterday! Having said that, its snowing (lightly) just now!

Anyway, in the absence of a pic of the car, here's one of the country instead (taken from STV News):

Image

Quote:
This amazing satellite picture on Thursday shows most of Scotland covered in a blanket of snow, which measures up to around 60cms around parts of the east. It is also clear to see which areas have avoided the worst of the snow - such as Mull, Islay, Kintyre Peninsula, parts of South Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway.

From the satellite image you can also see clouds over the east, which have been producing snow showers over the last few days in these areas. At the top left of the picture there is a band of cloud approaching during Friday - this will produce a mix of rain and sleet over Western Isles - while bringing more snow.
