This shouldn't affect anyone who has already registered with a hotmail.com email address, but due to the number of spam registrations we receive from people using those emails (most of which just appear to be made up names and not legit email addresses) I have decided to stop accepting anyone new to the forum that uses hotmail.com! Unfortunately this could mean that a few legit registrations get blocked, but chances are those people will have alternative email addresses anyway (such as yahoo tho that may yet go the same way as hotmail!)

As I said, this shouldn't affect existing members of the forum, but if it does could you please let me know! Also if anyone tries to register with a hotmail.com email that doesn't have an alternative email then get in touch and I'll sort something out!

And now yahoo has! Again this should not affect anyone who has already registered with a yahoo.com or a yahoo.co.uk email address, but let me know if you have problems!

I cant believe the amount of spam that come from both these emails.....

I've heard that a couple of the more popular whisky forums have been fighting a speaight of spam recently, more than ever before, but I have no idea which e-mail providers it comes from.

yahoo and hotmail are probably the more high profile email providers I have banned, but they are by no means the only ones... gmail went some time ago as they were the worst for spam registrations for a while!

I have highlighted this before, but it is worth mentioning Stop Forum Spam again as its a great tool for catching spammers!
