She collapsed at Birdcage Walk, near St James’ Park, on the final stretch of the 26.2 mile course, according to a statement on the marathon’s website. While the above is only half the story from The Scotsman, the rest of the article itself is not important. What is is the after effects this poor woman's death. She (Claire Squires) was running on behalf of the Samaritans as, she said,
they continuously support others; now they will benefit from well over half a million pounds (and that amount is rising all the time) as can be seen on Claire's
