Glasgow Airport has announced plans to spend £25 million on a comprehensive upgrade. Developments will include improving the airport road system, a new food court, a new runway lighting system and upgrades to the airfield taxiway system.

And the airport’s managing director said today steps had also been taken to fill the gap left by the collapse of the Flyglobespan travel firm. An estimated 3,400 holidaymakers were left stranded in Spain, Portugal, Cyprus and Egypt when Flyglobespan went into administration earlier this month.
