A number of eBooks have been included on the main site with more to be added soon! Those available just now are:

Lady of the Lake by Sir Walter Scott;
Claverhouse by Mowbray Morris;
Haco's Expedition against Scotland.

Others I plan to include at some point in the future include:

The Brus by John Barbour;
Fians, Fairies and Picts;
Sutherland and Caithness in Saga Times;
Outline of Relations between Scotland and England (500-1707).

Some of the above need to be formatted to make them easier to read, but all are free of copyright.

Other eBooks are available on Undiscovered Scotland and ScotlandView

I know it's serious literature, but whenever I see the words "Lady of the Lake," all I can think of is Monty Python:

Woman: Well how'd you become king then?

Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king!

Dennis: (interrupting) Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcicial aquatic ceremony!

Arthur: Be quiet!

Dennis: Oh but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Arthur: SHUT UP!

Dennis: Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bink lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
