At the beginning of the year I like to sit and think about what I intend to change on or add to the site in the coming months. Not being very good with plans this usually involves throwing a few random ideas up in the air and seeing which ones land face up. However, before looking forward its probably a good time to look back at the changes over the last year... and it seems I even managed to implement a couple that I had planned 12 months ago - the addition of the galleries and the increased size of the thumbnails! Another addition was the various pieces of literature: Scott's The Lady of the Lake; Stevenson's Records of a Family of Engineers; Claverhouse by Mowbray Morris and Haco's Expedition!

I guess some of the changes for this year could be along the same lines as above - the addition of more galleries (suggestions please) and certainly more pictures (plus improved versions of those already on the site!) as well as further pieces of literature (a couple I am working on just now are Sutherland and Caithness in Saga Times and Fians, Fairies and Picts). Beyond that I will attempt to add a lot more information to the existing pages on the site (especially the history section!) and our plan is also to visit some of the areas we either haven't been to yet or spent much time in - particularly the south-west and (if we can make it) the extreme north. I think we will have to leave the northern and western islands to another time (although that is being discussed), but some of the other Inner Hebridean islands we haven't been to yet (Coll & Tiree and Colonsay & Oronsay for example) are within reach!
