Hi everyone this is a very interesting forum hence the reason I joined, a long time lover of Scotland and its folks since my first trip in 1971. Naturally many more followed more so after getting involved with film production in 94.
Some of you will no doubt remember Chasing The Deer and The Bruce?.

Now I help Clanranald with their charity and the Duncarron project providing heraldic items and any other support needed.
I'm even going to attempt learning gaelic (hope I don't regret that statement :? )
Folks call me Gerry normally real name is Gerald also Gerald the Herald either will be ok! :D

Hi Gerry and welcome to our wee forum!

You might notice the Duncarron project has been mentioned on the forum, but its great to hear from someone who is actually involved. Myself and Linda live quite close (we're in Denny, a bit further down the River Carron from the fort) and hope to get up for a proper look around as soon as its possible!

Anyway, thanks for iintroducing yourself... we look forward to reading more of your posts and hopefully seeing some pics of your work!

Bruce & Linda I envy you living so close to the fort the valley is beautiful too!.
We have only been involved with the project since the new year and already have made several banners
for the great hall when its built. If you are on face book my galleries can be seen at Gerald Thorpe's page.
I had them all on fotopic.net but they have gone bust so thousand of folks have lost hundreds of pics!.
I have a new account on Flickr and some of the banners are on it http://www.flickr.com/photos/yeherald
I'm currently working on a 3m x 2m banner for Saor Patrol adding their new Dragon logo to it.
I also make shields for the clan to raffle off besides the battle ones for reenactment.

When we visit the fort we have been staying at the Drum farm B&B its not bad but next time we will try others.
Pleased I found your forum :D
