Loch Tay

Loch Tay lies between the villages of Killin to the south west and Kenmore to the north east (right). The A827 links these along the northern side of the loch with a single track road running along the southern side.

Loch Tay is about 15 miles long, less than a mile wide and about 500 ft deep.

A narrow road running north from Fearnan on the A827 leads to Fortingall, where the Fortingall Yew, a tree believed to be between 3,000 and 5,000 years old, can be found.
