Crieff

Crieff is located about 19km/12 miles to the west of Perth, at the point where the River Turret joins the River Earn. It is the second largest town in Perth & Kinross and developed as a spa resort in the 19th century.

The Highland Drovers Visitors Centre commemorates the fact that the town was the location of the main cattle market between 1672 and 1770. This market continued despite the town being burnt in 1716 as Jacobites returned from the Battle of Sheriffmuir.
