Southern Inner Hebrides

Further southwest from the Small Isles are Coll & Tiree with Mull, the second largest of the Inner Hebrides, to the east of these. There are also a number of smaller islands near Mull, including Iona, Staffa and Ulva. To the east of Mull, guarding the entrance to Oban Bay, is Kerrera.

Continuing south, the next group of islands include Colonsay, Islay, Jura and, sitting just off the Kintyre coast, Gigha.

What follows is in no way intended to be a complete list of the islands, but will hopefully cover the main ones in this group. Details of further islands in this area will be covered along with the geographical areas they are closest to.
