From Bowmore the A846 heads
roughly northeast. At Bridgend the A847 heads west round Loch Indaal while the
A846 continues northeast.
There
are two distilleries on the north eastern side of the island - Caol Ila and
Bunnahabhain.
From
Port Askaig there is a regular ferry service to Jura.
