Brodick

Brodick sits on the eastern side of is the the isle of Arran at the southern side of Brodick Bay. As well as being the main town on the island it is also the ferry port for the crossing to Ardrossan in Ayrshire.

The 13th century Brodick Castle sits on the northern side of Brodick Bay. Since 1957 the castle and gardens, which in turn are part of Brodick Country Park, have been looked after by the National Trust for Scotland.

Goat Fell (874m/2866 ft) is the highest peak on the island and stands within the area of the park.
