Portobello

Portobello is located on the Firth of Forth to the east of Edinburgh. The town takes its name from Puerto Bello in Panama, the scene of a British victory in the 18th century.

Portobello was a popular seaside resort during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The town is also the birthplace of the entertainer Sir Harry Lauder (1870-1950).
