NewhavenThe village of Newhaven is located on the Firth of Forth to the north of Edinburgh, adjacent to the Port of Leith. It was founded c.1500 by James IV as a royal dockyard. The Great Michael was built here and launched in 1511. The village later became a fishing port and the former fish market now houses a small museum. |
