Newhaven

The village of Newhaven is located on the Firth of Forth to the north of Edinburgh, adjacent to the Port of Leith. It was founded c.1500 by James IV as a royal dockyard. The Great Michael was built here and launched in 1511.

The village later became a fishing port and the former fish market now houses a small museum.
